My Story
Mossano (Lucian Mosanu) is a project by David Deejay, released in 2009. Mossano became a name following the smash hit “Indianotech”, which held the first position for many months, in many charts, national and international. Lucian Mosanu is a Romanian DJ with more than ten years experience. He was born on May 8th, in Barlad, Vaslui County. He has been passionate about music since childhood. At 16 years old he discoveres his DJ skills and by his 18th birthday he becomes a resident DJ in a local club. There he meets Adi Colceru, also known as David Deejay. Until the “Mossano” project, Lucian combined his music career with other media fields, such as radio or TV, getting to live in several cities of Romania. Lucian Mosanu moved to Bucharest in 2005, where he continues his musical collaboration with his friend and producer David Deejay. “Indianotech” was released in 2009 and the single rocketed to international success. By the time the video clip appeared, in February 2010, the song was already a hit, being heard on every radio or TV music channel in Romania.
That was mostly because the Indian samples were something totally new to Romanian music. Over 4 million listeners of the most important radio stations voted “Indianotech” as the number-one single in Media Forest Spring 2010 Top. It was also the most played radio-song according to Nielsen Control Music. “Indianotech” topped at Kiss FM, Vibe FM, Radio 21, Radio ZU, One FM, Pro FM, which are the best-known Romanian radio-stations. The smashing hit also became an international number-one song and it was on top positions across Europe, in countries like Turkey, Greece, Albany, Poland, Russia, Spain or Bulgaria. Moreover, not only the first edition of “Indianotech” met great success, but also its other released remixes, where Mossano featured Connect-R and Sonny Flame. “Zingarinho”, his second single, also produced by David Deejay, was released in April 2010 and it had the same success as the previous single. With the same Indian influences, “Zingarinho” rapidly became one of the most played singles in the summer of 2010. It impressed the radio audience in Romania, but also abroad, in Turkey being ranked number one. The collaboration between Mossano and David Deejay is far from over. A new single, Caramba, has just been released (March 2011).
